2016 Western Edge Theatre online AGM

W.E. Theatre Society
2016 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (Oct. 28 – 30)

It’s that time; time to stay legal as a Society and to talk about Western Edge, both recent and future. Our AGM will once again be held online over a three-day period; this year that’s Friday, Oct. 28 to Sunday, Oct. 30. We do it that way to allow as many people as possible to participate, and it’s worked out splendidly.

You don’t have to be online at any particular time. The meeting is “asynchronous,” meaning you can read and contribute to the proceedings at your own convenience. The best way to participate is by becoming a member of the W.E. Theatre Society (our legal name), for just $5. That gives you full voting rights at the AGM, and is a good way to show that you support theatre that supports local artists.

If you’re a subscriber to the 2016-17 season, you’re already a member. Or, if you’ve taken out a membership since May 1st, you’re also good to go. Otherwise, you can join online right now:

As an incentive, we’re offering free admission to Saturday night’s Plays & Pie event, the staged reading of George F. Walker’s Dead Metaphor, to all current members.

But even if you don’t become a member, we invite you to participate by visiting the

2016 AGM page

Type your name at the top to show you’re “present,” and then return at your own convenience to follow along, and participate if you like, over the next three days.
