Safety and comfort

The safety and comfort of our audience will remain a top priority for Western Edge Theatre as we resume full production. Here are some of the measures we'll undertake this season:

  • While the province has lifted the 50% capacity requirement for theatres and other venues, Western Edge will continue to restrict capacity for our first production of "4000 Miles" to 50%. We will revisit this restriction for shows later in the season.
  • We will continue to adhere carefully to public health orders. Patrons must present a valid vaccine card in one of the forms shown here, plus government-issued photo ID. Masks must be worn in the venue, including during the performance.
  • Patrons will be assigned to specific seats so that we can maintain distance between audience members. Couples and groups of people may still be seated together. The first two rows of seats will not be used.
  • All actors, technicians, and support personnel engaged by Western Edge, including front-of-house staff, are required to be double-vaccinated and to wear masks in the venue, with the exception of the actors when they are onstage.
  • We will continue to require proof of double vaccination throughout the season, even if the public health requirement to do so is lifted. Based on the unfolding public health situation and input from our supporters, we may also continue to require audience members to wear masks in the venue, even if it is no longer required by law.
  • Auxiliary fans will be used to supplement the venue's ventilation system.
  • Any patron who feels unwell, or has a sick family member at home, may exchange their ticket for another performance or a future credit, upon advance notice to our box-office.
